Ubuntu Essence was inspired by my healing journey, my studies, my life experience and my African roots.

Nelson Mandela is my greatest idol.

He has inspired me tremendously in my life, with his pure soul, kindness and capacity of forgiveness.

He is the personification of Ubuntu.

“It is in your hands to create a better world for who live in it”.

Nelson Mandela

Ubuntu meaning:

it’s a South African origin word.

It means “the essence of being Human” – I am because You are.

“It speaks about our interconnectedness. You can’t be human all by yourself. We think of ourselves far too frequently as just individuals, separated from one another, whereas you are connected and what you do affects the whole World”

- Bishop Desmond Tutu

The logo is represented by the sun. The Sun is the star that guides me the most my life and it is the regent planet of my solar sign - I’m a proud Leo! Its rays represent each and every one of us, showing that we are all connected in this Circle of Life, having our own unique purpose.

I have been travelling all my life, literally, since I was in my mother’s womb, but only when I began my self-discovery journey, did my trips have more impact in my healing process.

Going back to my roots in Cape Town and volunteering for the Africa Yoga Project in Kenya, were crucial moments to connect all the dots. And, of course, it’s related, as well, with my favourite movie, The Lion King (that was inspired and based in Kenya) – It is an absolute source of wisdom, with a very special meaning and a high level of consciousness.

And that’s how Ubuntu Essence was born.
